Reed Finance are currently assisting a long-established client in the Crawley area who are seeking a Financial Controller to join their team. Reporting to the Commerical Director as Financial Controller you will be responsible for collaborating with company management to support upper-level decision-making processes. This role is crucial in using financial information to shape business strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies, and serving as the primary contact for external auditors.
Day-to-day of the role: Produce financial reports including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, sales and margin reports, cost centre analysis, and manufacturing & purchasing variance analysis.
Manage cash forecasts, credit control, and debt collection.
Develop, implement, and monitor budgets and forecasts.
Handle data reconciliation from platforms like Amazon and Shopify.
Analyse actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Produce annual statutory accounts and liaise with auditors and tax advisors.
Oversee all activities related to regulatory compliance issues (Income Tax, VAT, Payroll, P11D’s, PAYE, Intrastat, WEEE, etc).
