We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at a dynamic secondary SEMH school in Blackpool (FY4). This full-time role offers the opportunity to work closely with pupils who need consistent, tailored behavioural and emotional support to thrive in their education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
* Promote positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation techniques.
* De-escalate challenging situations calmly and safely.
* Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral leads, and external professionals.
* Help to create a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEMH or behavioural needs.
* Calm, confident, and compassionate, with strong interpersonal skills.
* Able to build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches or Team Teach (desirable but not essential).
* Must have or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
