As Lead Design Engineer for Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB), you will work in a creative and challenging environment, managing projects within the wastewater treatment programme of works. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects and programmes, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams from design through to construction and handover to the client.
Our framework programme aims to improve clean and wastewater services across the Severn Trent region, enhancing the environment and providing sustainable, innovative solutions. This role involves working on a multimillion-pound water and wastewater projects, both infrastructure and non-infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the delivery of multi-disciplinary design for your projects/programmes.
* Developing and leading your design team to successfully deliver projects, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
* Managing line management for 4-6 staff, including their wellbeing and development.
* Applying strong technical skills to develop affordable, low-carbon solutions, managing opportunities and risks.
* Delivering detailed designs that meet construction and client requirements, managing costs and schedules.
* Supporting a culture of excellence within your team, including recruitment and competency development.

Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified design engineer, preferably Chartered or working towards Chartership.
* Experience in clean water treatment or dams & reservoirs design.
