We are currently seeking enthusiastic and caring Nursery Assistants to join our friendly nurseries in Morden and the surrounding areas. We offer both full-time and part-time positions, ideal for those passionate about early years education and childcare. About the Role

As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily care and development of children in our nursery. Your responsibilities will include assisting with feeding, changing, engaging children in creative and educational activities, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and spending time outdoors for play and learning. This role is perfect for individuals who want to make a real difference in the lives of young children by fostering a warm, stimulating, and nurturing setting.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Supporting qualified nursery practitioners with the daily running of the nursery

2. Engaging with children in age-appropriate activities that promote development and learning

3. Assisting with personal care routines such as feeding and changing

4. Helping maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the nursery environment

5. Supervising children during outdoor play and learning sessions

6. Observing and reporting on children’s progress and behaviours to senior staff

7. Adhering to all safeguarding policies and ensuring a safe space for children

Ideal Candidate

8. Passionate about working with children and supporting their early development

9. Patient, caring, and reliable with a genuine love for childcare

10. Previous experience in a nursery, childcare, or similar setting (minimum 6 months)

11. A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles

12. Punctual and dependable with excellent communication skills

13. Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions carefully

Candidate Requirements

14. Minimum of 6 months’ experience working with children or in a nursery environment

15. Enhanced DBS check registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for a new one

16. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare

17. Willingness to learn and develop skills within a supportive team
