The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Kyloe House for a Band 4 Admin Assistant. You will work as part of a team to provide a wide range of clerical and administrative support, including maintaining information systems, managing petty cash, processing invoices, arranging meetings, minute-taking, and monitoring stock levels.
Key responsibilities
* Organising and managing a team of administrative staff, delegating work appropriately
* Manage induction, appraisal, supervision, training, development and performance of the team
* Arranging meetings and taking accurate minutes
* Maintaining local and imprest accounts in accordance with Financial Regulations
We are offering
* 30 hours per week, Band 4 Admin Assistant
* Fixed-term contract until 31st March 2026
* Starting salary of £21,407, progressing to £22,817, plus £1621 MFA (pro rata salary quoted)
* 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising to 31 days after 5 years), pro rata for part-time employees
* Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme (or other pension scheme)

Essential requirements
* Experience in a similar role covering a broad range of support tasks and procedures
* Previous experience supervising staff, including delegating work and conducting supervisions and appraisals
* Experience in taking and typing minutes
* Experience with financial systems and contributing to budget and project planning
* Experience in processing accounts for payment and reconciling errors and omissions
* A sound working knowledge of computerised systems
* Ability to organise workload and work independently to meet deadlines
* A good general education demonstrating numeracy and literacy
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a business-related discipline or relevant experience
