TheCardiovascular Departmentat Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is offering a fantastic opportunity to join our team as an Cardiovascular Assistant Technical Officerfor thePacing Service.

TheCardiorespiratory and Vascular Department is part of a 900-bed acute healthcare trust employing over 3,200 staff. We deliver a wide range of highly specialised and complex cardiac, respiratory and vascular investigative procedures, producing detailed factual reports to support clinical decision-making.

We are an integral part of the medical team treating cardiac and respiratory disorders, and we monitor treatment effectiveness throughClinical Physiologist–led clinics.

Person specification


Knowledge Requirements

* Relevant theoretical/practical/technical knowledge to underpin the investigative procedures undertaken within the department


Qualifications/Academic/Craft/Professional

* Basic Computer literacy skills
* BLS
* Part 1 ASCST or ECG certificate (SCST) certificate or equivalent knowledge and experience
* European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)


Further Training

* Participates in Continued Development


Experience

* Managerial / Clerical Experience
* Clinical experience in the NHS
* Experience in a cardiac Department
* ECG Experience


Contractual Requirements

* 37.5 hours per week
* Annual attendance at Trust Fire Lecture
* Annual update on Manual Handling
