Accounts Manager (ACA / ACCA Qualified)
Location: Taunton, Somerset (Hybrid considered)
Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of owner‑managed businesses and supporting junior staff, while delivering high‑quality compliance and advisory services.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a portfolio of SME clients across a range of sectors
* Preparation and review of statutory accounts for limited companies
* Review of corporation tax returns and overseeing personal tax compliance
* Acting as main point of contact for clients, providing proactive advice
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members
* Assisting partners with workflow management and client development
The Ideal Candidate
* ACA or ACCA qualified
* Strong background in UK accountancy practice
* Experience managing a client portfolio
* Confident reviewing accounts and tax work
* Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
* Commercially aware and client focused
