About the Role We are seeking a proactive and professional Client Manager to join our growing accountancy practice. This role involves managing a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accountancy services, building strong client relationships, and ensuring the highest levels of client satisfaction. You will serve as the main point of contact for your clients and support the wider team in achieving service excellence. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors, ensuring compliance and timely delivery of services (accounts, tax returns, VAT, etc.) Develop strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, and tax computations Liaise with HMRC and other relevant bodies on behalf of clients Support clients with queries on cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) Monitor deadlines and ensure all filing obligations are met Identify opportunities to add value through advisory services and process improvements Mentor junior team members and review their work Maintain accurate records and uphold data security and confidentiality Collaborate with partners and other departments to enhance overall service delivery Person Specification Essential: ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent Minimum 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice Strong working knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and filing requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience managing a client portfolio Competent in cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities Desirable: Experience in business advisory or consultancy Familiarity with CRM systems and workflow management tools Experience working with SME clients or specific sectors (e.g., property, e-commerce, creatives) What's on Offer Salary of £40,000-£50,000 depending on experience Hybrid/flexible working environment Support for continued professional development A collaborative, friendly, and supportive team culture Opportunities to grow into a senior leadership role
