Anderselite are recruiting on behalf of a respected regional main contractor in Halifax who are seeking an experienced Buyer to join their commercial team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-driven professional to play a vital role in the procurement of materials, plant, and services for a range of exciting construction projects across the region.
What You’ll Do
* Source and purchase construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
* Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers
* Build strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and project teams
* Ensure timely delivery of materials to keep projects on track and within budget
* Maintain accurate procurement records and manage costs effectively
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience as a Buyer in the construction industry
* Strong negotiation and organisational skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and colleagues
* A proactive, detail-focused approach
