Job Description
3. Process and manage supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
4. Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
5. Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the accounts payable ledger.
7. Assist in month-end closing and reporting activities.
8. Communicate effectively with suppliers to address and resolve payment issues.
9. Support internal audits related to the accounts payable function.
10. Contribute to process improvements for increased efficiency and accuracy in the finance department.
The Successful Applicant
A successful AP Accountant should have:
11. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
12. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
13. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
14. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
15. Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
16. A relevant qualification in accounting or finance is preferred.
