Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced administration candidates to join our busy administration team. We currently have the following Band 3 Administration Officer vacancies with the Children and Young Peoples Service (CYPS), based at Bensham Hospital and Benton House.
* Administration Officer post: 30 hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm / 8am to 8pm on rota basis - to be discussed at interview). Post based at Benton House. Successful candidate must be willing to travel and work from Bensham Hospital when required.
* Administration Officer post: 26 hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm / 8am to 8pm on rota basis - to be discussed at interview). Post based at Benton House. Successful candidate must be willing to travel and work from Bensham Hospital when required.
* Administration Officer post: 37.5 hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm), based at Bensham Hospital. Successful candidate must be willing to travel and work from Benton House when required.
This is a busy service. The successful post holder will be part of the admin team supporting the multidisciplinary clinical team to provide a high-quality administrative service. Responsibilities include a variety of admin duties as assigned by the Clinical Team Manager, Administration Team Lead, or Clinical Leads.
Candidates should have recent (within the last 12 months) experience in the following areas: (see job description for details):
* Experience working in a customer/patient-focused environment (face-to-face and telephone)
* Administrative/Secretarial experience
* General administrative duties
* Fast, accurate typing/keyboard skills
* Typing and formatting letters and reports
* Minute-taking experience
* Diary management
* Ability to work independently, be motivated, and contribute positively to a team
* Flexibility to change tasks at short notice
* Reliability and punctuality
* Ability to handle highly distressing or emotional circumstances, with participation in relevant training courses
* Required qualifications as outlined in the Personal Specification's Essential Criteria; candidates not meeting these will not be shortlisted.
The role requires excellent customer service skills, confidence in face-to-face and telephone interactions, adaptability, teamwork, and a focus on positive patient experiences.
