About the Role
As a Continuous Improvement Manager within our Caerphilly branch, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of our responsive repair service in the Cardiff location. You will be responsible for meeting all Key Performance Indicators and delivering innovation and continuous improvement within your areas of responsibility. This role includes managing operatives and subcontractors.
* Monitor and control all work undertaken within a geographical or property type contract area, conducting pre- and post-inspections as required.
* Mentor operatives and trainees, ensuring all Health & Safety guidelines are met.
* Monitor progress and completion of work from operatives and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project briefs.
* Manage the use of operatives and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with company standards of work performance, customer service, and Health & Safety procedures.
* Manage operatives and subcontractors to maximize contract performance against KPIs, minimize default notices and penalties, and ensure high levels of customer service to achieve contract value.
Role Criteria:
* Experience working in social housing.
* Experience supervising operatives and subcontractors.
* Knowledge of repairs and maintenance.
* Excellent communication skills.
* People management skills.
* Negotiating skills.
* Trade, management, or health and safety qualifications are desirable.
Candidates should be aware that all roles are subject to relevant DBS/security checks either before or upon employment commencement.
To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held their license for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points.
