This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated teacher to lead a small SEND provision supporting 4-5 KS1 pupils, with a strong focus on EYFS-based learning and development. About the Role The successful candidate will take responsibility for planning, delivering, and leading a tailored SEND provision within a mainstream setting. You will work closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team to create a nurturing, inclusive, and structured environment that supports children with additional needs to thrive. This role is ideal for a teacher with a strong SEND background who is confident leading provision, adapting the EYFS curriculum, and coaching and guiding TA colleagues. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a SEND provision for 4-5 KS1 pupils Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences aligned with EYFS principles Adapt learning to meet diverse SEND needs, including communication, cognition, and social/emotional development Coach, mentor, and support Teaching Assistants to ensure high-quality SEND practice Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP targets and reviews Work collaboratively with SENCOs, parents/carers, and external professionals Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding policies Skills & Experience Required Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Proven experience working with SEND pupils, ideally within EYFS or KS1 Strong understanding of EYFS provision and child-centred learning Ability to lead, support, and train Teaching Assistants Excellent behaviour management and communication skills Confident in planning personalised learning programmes A calm, patient, and adaptable approach Commitment to inclusion and supporting pupil wellbeing Why Work with Career Teachers?
