Yard Operative / Van Driver - Enderby
Full Time, Permanent
An exciting opportunity for a Yard Operative / Van Driver has become available at our Enderby depot.
We require an enthusiastic individual who can provide excellent customer service to our trade and retail customers. You will be working in the yard and warehouse to retrieve stock as well as preparing and picking orders to be loaded onto our lorries for delivery whilst delivering orders to our customers yourself via van. Whether you're fresh out of school or an experienced candidate, we would welcome your energy and enthusiasm to our team. Experience is desirable but not essential as full training and support will be given, covering health and safety, customer service, product knowledge and forklift training.
Person & Skills
The successful candidate will be familiar with all aspects of stock handling and have knowledge of heavy-side building materials. Ideally you will have recent experience of driving a counterbalance and combination forklift, as well as having a valid forklift licence. You will also need to hold a Full UK Driving Licence as the role will also include Van Driver duties.
Key tasks will include:
* Delivering a first-class customer service
* Health & Safety awareness / adherence
* Picking orders and serving customers
* Loading and unloading HGV vehicles
* Stock rotation and maintenance
* Driving Van in accordance with the delivery schedule
