We are looking for a someone to join our small admin team working a fixed 6 hour shift on reception every Thursday with the flexibility to cover other shifts across the week when needed. We have four other administrators and we are hoping to find someone who can support them and cover holidays and sickness when needed. We are open Monday to Friday and between 7.45am and 6pm.
We are a children's nursery so you will need to have a good rapport with both small children and parents as you will be greeting them when they enter the setting.
We operate with high standards of safeguarding so employment will be subject to safer recruitment checks including employment references and a clean enhanced DBS.
Summary
As an Administrator, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our nursery environment. You will be friendly and approachable as children and parents arrive to the nursery and you will be able to establish a rapport with new parents as they join the setting.
Reporting to the CAO, your role encompasses a variety of tasks, including data entry, managing correspondence, and maintaining organized records. Your core skills in computer proficiency, administrative experience, and phone etiquette will be vital in supporting daily operations. Additionally, your premium office experience and relevant skills in Microsoft Office as well as experience with a variety of systems will enhance our team's efficiency. You will be confident with managing systems in order to produce reliable and consistent invoices for parents which relate to their child's attendance patterns and you will have the skills and expertise to address potential discrepancies and fix problems within a timely manner.

Responsibilities
* Manage daily administrative tasks, including data entry and clerical duties.
* Utilize Microsoft Office and bespoke software to maintain accurate records and reports.
* Use bespoke software to produce reliable and accurate accounts for parents and work with external accountants to manage the business accounts.
* Answer phone calls with professionalism and provide excellent customer service.
* Organize and maintain office files and documents, ensuring easy access to information.
* Collaborate with team members to enhance office efficiency and productivity.
* Assist in scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings as needed.
* Assist in correspondence with parents regarding accounts and support the CAO to claim relevant funding and maintain accurate records with the local authority
Qualifications
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong administrative experience with a focus on organizational skills
* Excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities
* Familiarity with data entry tasks
* Solid computer skills with a background in clerical work
* Previous administrative experience is essential
