Main duties of the job
This post will be based within the Analytics and Reporting team focused on reporting and analysis.
Using your highly developed analytical skills, you will contribute to the development of reporting to enable data-driven business decisions across the trust.
We currently operate a hybrid office/home-based working model with 3 days per week onsite.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To provide a data and information service to senior managers and clinicians through analysis / interpretation of clinical data and data flows.
The wider department uses a combination of SQL, SSRS, SPSS, R and Power BI to analyse Trust data sets. We look for well-developed knowledge and ability to programme in at least one language as evidence of an aptitude in this area. You will also need to be adept in Microsoft Office packages and have the ability to adapt to new software as required.

Experience & Knowledge
* Highly advanced computing skills in a programming language (SQL or similar), Microsoft Office packages, database development, spreadsheets, email, internet and intranet, and the ability to adapt computing skills to any new software required
* Experience of training a Junior Information Analyst
* Previous experience of working in an NHS information role
Personal Attributes
* Knowledge of or experience in coaching and mentoring practices and tools
Qualifications
* Practical, statistical, analytical and numerical skills supported by an honours degree or equivalent experience, in a subject with a substantial numerate content as evidence that the post holder has achieved a high level of logical thinking and adaptability to learning sophisticated computer programming languages.
* Significant experience of working in the field of data and information including knowledge of complex systems and data models to enable the provision of advice to Senior Managers. This is specialist knowledge of data and information equivalent to a Postgraduate diploma.
* Member of a professional body
