Learning Support Assistant / Behaviour Mentor - Tadley
Primary mainstream school, September start for KS1 and KS2. An excellent Primary school in Tadley is recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant/Behaviour Mentor to join them in September. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or experienced teaching assistant to develop experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN). A graduate with a degree graded 2:2 or above is ideal, and some previous experience working with SEN children is desirable. The SEN teaching assistant will have the opportunity to work closely with children who have mental health difficulties, display challenging behaviour or learning disabilities such as Autism.
September start
£89-£95 per day
Responsibilities
* Support children with additional learning needs (SEN) and mental health difficulties
* Assist in managing and supporting behaviour for pupils who display challenging behaviours
* Work 1:1 or with small groups to support learning and development
* Contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
* Develop experience with SEN to support future teacher training and career progression
Qualifications & Requirements
* Graduate with a degree 2:2 or above is ideal; some previous SEN experience is desirable
* Experience working with challenging behaviour; desirably some form of restraint training
* Excellent behaviour management skills and a confident, dedicated approach
* Ability to commit for the full academic year
