Fire Safety Projects Manager
Hindle House, Banbury
GBP 44,490 : GBP 45,779 per year plus Company car

We have an opportunity for a Fire Safety Projects Manager to join our Fire and Security team based in Banbury. The main purpose of this role is to manage fire safety projects within a specific region including contractor delivered works and a team of in:house fire risk assessors to deliver fire risk assessments and audits and follow up actions in response to customer and organisational needs.
The role of Fire Safety Projects Manager will include:

Monitor and manage fire safety projects to ensure they are properly resourced and operating within appropriate financial policies, procedures and financial limits/budgets

Manage contractors in accordance with their contractual terms, making recommendations for improvements and implementing actions as appropriate to ensure contract specifications continue to be met

Ensure investment works are compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements and make appropriate recommendations on changes that may need to be made mid:project to ensure full compliance and consistent delivery of services

Manage the recruitment, performance and development of quality employees to ensure that skilled people are available to meet business needs and individual accountabilities

Maintain appropriate documentation for work specifications and tenders and provide accurate and timely information for management reports

Manage the coordination, communication and maintenance of relationships with internal and external customers, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring they are dealt with appropriately

Manage and monitor contractor invoicing and quotations to ensure that the business is always receiving value for money and that any payments are made strictly in accordance with the contract terms and agreements

Report to senior management in a timely manner, providing updated forecasts and managing expectations for an allocated region as required

To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to FPA level 3, FPA level 4 or currently undertaking the qualification. If you have a lower level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application.

Proven experience working in a commercially focused housing and /or contracting business

Experience of contractor management and delivering services within budget

Operating within a performance focused environment, delivering key performance indicators

Knowledge of Fire regulations including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, legislation and current and good practice

Experience of utilising the NHF schedule of rates with contractors

This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
