Teaching Assistant – Wantage
Start Date: ASAP / January 2026
Pay: £89–£100 per day
A warm, welcoming primary school in Wantage is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. If you love helping children learn, grow and feel confident, this could be the perfect role for you!
Role Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher with fun, engaging day-to-day learning activities
* Work with individual pupils and small groups to help reinforce key skills
* Create a kind, positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
* Assist with routines, preparing resources and general classroom organisation
* Encourage children to build confidence, independence and a love of learning
* Work closely with the teaching team to support all pupils
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with children (in a school or similar setting)
* A genuine passion for supporting young learners
* Friendly, reliable, and excited to grow within education
* Able to work well as part of a team and use initiative when needed
