We are looking for Health & Safety Assistant to join our Health and Safety team. You will join us on a f ull-time, permanent basis, 36 hours per week, and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £31,337 - £33,035. The Health & Safety Assistant R ole: To assist in monitoring and ensuring that records of the risk assessment processes are maintained in the relevant department and maintain a central record of risk assessments. Key Responsibilities of our Health & Safety Assistant: Assist with health and safety management systems in accordance with organisation plans and compliance with and adherence to legislation and applicable regulatory bodies’ processes and procedures. To assist to develop the health & safety needs and goals of the college. Maintain clean working areas. To assist in working closely with managers across the college to ensure all health and safety procedures and processes are adhered to across all college sites. To work closely with ILCT, Estates and curriculum team to ensure that health and safety practices and procedures are embedded as appropriate across the college. Our ideal Health & Safety Assistant should have the following qualifications, skills and experience: Educated up to GCSE Grade C/5 or equivalent. Knowledge of Microsoft office applications`. NEBOSH qualified or working towards - National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent Ability to maintain a safe working environment suitable for students. The ability to influence, persuade and direct the Health and Safety activities of the organisation and promote best practice. Strong analytical skills and able to interpret complex issues. Able to converse well withstaff and students, contractors and visitors. Ability to evaluate information and data effectively, prioritise.
