Location: Dame Bradbury's, Saffron Walden
Role Description
To assist with the smooth running of the school reception/office undertaking administrative duties as required.
This is a part-time, term time role.
Main Responsibilities:
● Greeting visitors, ensuring a professional "front of house" service to students, parents and visitors.
● Ensuring all visitors are signed in and out of the building and met by the relevant member of staff.
● Monitoring and chasing student absences. Locating pupils where necessary.
● Administer first aid to students and keep first aid boxes replenished by ordering supplies as needed.
● Organise after school clubs with the Deputy Head and communicate to parents via SOCs
● Be the first point of call for telephone calls and deal with these as appropriate.
● Manage the office in-box and general enquiries from existing parents.
● Deal with outgoing post and arrange special deliveries (couriers etc).
● Keep all records on iSams up to date - addresses and contacts.
● Responsible for communication with new parents after pupils have accepted a place at Dame Bradbury's.
● Input information for new starters onto iSams.
●Keep all pupil records on the MIS up to date - addresses, contact details, medical information etc.
● Administer first aid to students (training can be provided)
● Support teaching staff with IHP's for students.
● Send out Parentmail messages to parents.
● Ordering stationery for the office and teaching staff.
● Support teaching staff and Head of School when required Assist the School Office with general duties as required.
General Responsibilities
● Act as an excellent ambassador for Stephen Perse at all times.
● Build and maintain good working relationships with all Stephen Perse colleagues.
● Assist as necessary in other Stephen Perse areas at peak times.
●Work at all times towards the aims and goals of Stephen Perse and any individual objectives and targets you may have agreed.
● Proactively identify areas for improvements within Stephen Perse.
● Actively promote Stephen Perse Equal Opportunities Policy, encouraging staff awareness and participation in all areas.
● Act in accordance with the Data Protection principles at all times.

Safeguarding and welfare of children
The post holder's responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact, will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with Stephen Perse's Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy statement at all times. If, in the course of carrying out the duties of the post, the role-holder becomes aware of any actual or potential risks to the safety or welfare of children in the School, s/he must report any concerns to the School's Designated Person or the Stephen Perse Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Terms and conditions
All appointments for Stephen Perse are subject to satisfactory reference and disclosure and barring service (DBS) checks, suitability to work with children checks, online checks, proof of identity and eligibility to work in the UK, completion of a medical questionnaire and proof of qualifications.
Hours of work
This is a term-time role, working 12:30-18:00, 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 35.2 weeks per year (to include 5 INSET days).
Salary
£15,519 per annum (£26,691 FTE) - £16,545 per annum (£28,300 FTE). Please note, as this role is starting part way through the academic year, the salary will be based on the remaining weeks in the academic year.
