Job Details: Criminal Justice Recovery Worker
Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.
We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.
Bringing together two big organisations is not a small task and it’ll take a while to fully integrate our systems, processes and approaches. That’s why you will notice the jobs here are still branded ‘Humankind’. Next year we’ll be fully integrating our recruitment systems but for now they are separate.
Criminal Justice Worker
Full Time - 37 hours, 5 days a week
We have exciting opportunities to join us in a fresh approach to developing pathways into drug and alcohol treatment for people affected by Homelessness or with experience of the Criminal Justice system. We are looking for a number of Recovery Coordinators to join us at a time of exciting development and transformation across our London services.
Our teams provide support for individuals who are experiencing problematic substance use. You will be an integral member of one of our dynamic treatment teams, working closely with team leaders and partners, developing and delivering tailored support, including recovery planning and case management, to enable service users to make positive changes across all stages of their recovery journey.
You will provide targeted support for service users, from brief interventions through to structured treatment, ensuring that every recovery journey is tailored to individual priorities. You will take a “whole person” holistic approach, ensuring that every service user’s package of care encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, not just their substance use, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every person.
We are committed to fair chances for all and making sure everyone can access the help and support they need to realise their potential. By joining our teams of passionate individuals, you will be contributing to making this happen.
* If you feel that you would fit with our values & ethos, are passionate about supporting people, but maybe don’t feel you have the experience required, talk to us about your transferable skills.
* We are able to provide development to help you to realise your potential and career aspirations for the right people.
* If you are a recent graduate in the field of Health, Social Care, or the Social Sciences, we want to hear from you!
We are committed to fair chances for all and making sure everyone can access the help and support they need to realise their potential. You can really make a difference by believing in our service users and their ability to make positive changes when they don’t always believe in themselves.
