Role Overview
The position is a site‑based Network Project Manager role in one of the DXC regional delivery centres in Glasgow or Newcastle. The successful candidate will manage complex technical network projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. Clearance – SC.
Responsibilities
* Project Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and control of projects to achieve specified objectives, ensuring projects are functionally and financially viable.
* Scope and Schedule Management: Define and manage project scope, and develop detailed project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
* Budget Management: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring that financial objectives are met, and resources are allocated efficiently.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and align with client expectations.
* Safety Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
* Change Management: Manage and document changes in project scope, schedule, and costs, communicating adjustments to stakeholders as necessary.
* Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and deliver project status reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to ensure effective resource allocation and resolve any issues that arise during project execution.
Required Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience: Relevant work experience in the IT infrastructure industry, with experience in a technical project management role, and leading and delivering complex high‑value projects within time, financial, and qualitative parameters.
* Customer focus: Experience in client relationship management.
* Skills: Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA), and software.
* Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are highly desirable.
* Clearance: Must hold or be eligible to apply for Security Clearance (SC). Applicants must be a British Citizen with no dual citizenship, have spent a minimum of 5 years residency in the UK, and have not spent longer than 6 months outside of the UK during this period.

* Advanced Degree: An advanced degree in a related field is a plus.
