We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in both home care and care home settings. You will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing while promoting independence. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients with mobility and physical activities as needed.
* Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements outlined in care plans.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to the care team.
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required.
* Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
* Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to enhance their quality of life.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
* Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping is beneficial.
* A good command of English is required for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
