Overview
Mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer — 42 hours per week from Monday to Friday & 6 hours every 3rd Saturday morning. Beenham, Berkshire. £49,686 (plus 15% shift allowance) + overtime + benefits. Overtime is paid at x1.5 for Monday - Saturday, and x2 for Sundays and bank holidays.

We’re looking for apprentice trained or experienced engineers who are skilled in either mechanical or electrical maintenance engineering. Apply today to secure an interview with the UK’s leading manufacturer of roofing products.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a skilled Engineering team to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
* Be involved in a variety of engineering tasks with a proactive approach to preventing equipment failure.
* Operate on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems; carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on site.
* Work a 3-shift rotation covering days and nights (predominately 6 am-2 pm, 2 pm-10 pm & 10 pm-7 am) with an early finish on a Friday to support work-life balance.
Requirements
* Apprentice-trained Engineer to NVQ Level 3 standard in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, ideally with the 18th Edition qualification
* Good working knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical engineering within a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment
* Welding experience
* A flexible approach to varying work activities including production requirements
* Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements
* A clear passion for engineering with a desire to learn and grow in the role
Industry experience is not essential as we can provide all the training you need. We are also happy to consider candidates who have recently completed an apprenticeship and are looking for the next step in their career.
