Job Description

3. Act as the primary point of contact for multiple branded suppliers seeking to enter or expand within the UK food market.
4. Develop and execute tailored business development strategies for each supplier, focusing on both branded and private label food products.
5. Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify opportunities and challenges for new product launches.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, including major retailers, wholesalers, and independent stores.
7. Present product ranges to key decision makers, negotiate terms, and secure listings in relevant sales channels.
8. Coordinate internal resources and external partners to ensure successful project delivery from concept to shelf.
9. Provide regular updates and feedback to suppliers, offering market insights and recommendations

The Successful Applicant

A successful Channel Sales Manager should have:

10. Proven track record in sales roles within the food industry, with demonstrable experience in branded and private label product development and sales
11. Experience in confectionery or chocolate sectors is highly desirable and will be a significant advantage
12. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the UK retail landscape
13. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple supplier projects simultaneously
14. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
15. Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable approach to working with diverse brands and market segments
16. Ability to work autonomously within a collaborative team environment
