A vacancy has arisen for an individual with a strong electrical engineering background, who is self- motivated, team orientated and forward thinking to work as part of the Project Engineering Department. Based primarily at our Middlesbrough office, with a requirement to support other facilities within the PD Ports Group. Ensuring the effective delivery of engineering infrastructure projects in compliance with safety standards and relevant electrical engineering codes of practice, from concept to completion.

Working Arrangements: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The five main things our Electrical Project Engineer will be working on are:
* Creation of project documentation, drawings and estimates and the preparation of technical specifications in line with current standards.
* Carry out competitive tenders in line with the company procurement process, contract award and management including site supervision and site meetings. Project Management responsibilities and cost benefit analysis linked to engineering schemes.
* Design/specification of LV small power distribution systems and lighting systems and collation of as-built information and H&S files.
* Survey and condition reporting on existing electrical infrastructure and maintaining engineering drawing systems and document databases.
* Project Management responsibilities and cost benefit analysis linked to engineering schemes as well as liaising with other engineering disciplines and Operations colleagues.
We Are Seeking Someone Who
* Degree qualified or equivalent experience in Electrical E
* Driving Licence and own
* A proven record of accomplishment in solving electrical engineering
* Ability to manage multiple projects at once ensuring they are delivered effectively.
* AutoCAD and design software experience and working knowledge of CDM
* 18^thEdition IET Wiring regulations knowledge
* Knowledge of working with HV equipment and systems up to 11kV
* Experience of AC/DC VSD's and PLC systems
* Experience of solar/wind generation and other renewable technologies
