This is a 24/7 shift-based role working 12‑hour day and night shifts. We are finalising the shift pattern and considering options such as 4-on/4-off and the Panama (2‑2‑3) rota. The selected pattern will be confirmed before your start date.

About the Role
We’re looking to recruit several electrical and mechanical engineers to facilitate a move to a rotating shift pattern during the summer. Successful applicants will work closely with the manufacturing team to maintain and service all processing machinery, keep machinery downtime to a minimum, and conduct preventive maintenance to avoid production disruption.
Applicants must have worked in a similar manufacturing environment, be able to carry out preventive maintenance, fault‑finding, and efficiently manage machine downtime. Rotations will take place across both day and night shifts as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
Excellent communication skills are essential, as is a flexible, proactive approach to meeting the business’s needs. Sponsorship will only be considered for candidates who already have a valid visa and are currently working in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete repairs and breakdowns in a timely manner and perform Root Cause Analyses to ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed.
* Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping.
* Comply with all company Health & Safety rules, and be able to escalade any failures.
* Work closely with the Engineering Manager and the Manufacturing Managers.
* Be part of an engineering team dedicated to providing a world‑class service.
* Communicate effectively and take the initiative to lead when required.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of Safety Working Procedures.
* In the future support and mentor electrical apprentices on site.
Essential Requirements
* Fluent in English (verbal and written).
* Excellent IT skills.
* Relevant degree and solid practical working knowledge.
* Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience in a fast‑paced factory or manufacturing environment.
* Good experience with fault‑finding and a methodical approach.
* Knowledge of UK Health & Safety rules, regulations and best practices.
* Ability to prioritise workload and concisely record information.
Knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulics
Applicants should have knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics as required for the role.
