Role: Asset Accountant
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 DOE + discretionary bonus and other benefits
Location: London - 4 days in office, 1 day working from home

The Role:
As an Asset Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial management of multiple asset vehicles and projects across their lifecycle - from development through construction to operations. Key responsibilities include:
1. Day to day accounting of SVP's and related projects
2. Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reporting.
3. Oversight of general ledger activities, including reconciliations, accruals, journals, and fixed asset registers.
4. Support with budgeting and forecasting, producing variance analysis and insightful commentary to aid decision-making.
5. Project finance support including loan drawdowns, covenant monitoring, and facility management.
6. Involvement in M&A transactions, providing due diligence and integration support.
7. Managing tax compliance in coordination with external advisors (corporate, VAT and indirect tax).
8. Preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with external auditors.
9. Driving process improvements and supporting systems development to improve efficiency and accuracy.
10. Acting as a finance business partner to operational and project teams, providing analysis and guidance to maximise asset performance.
The Ideal Candidate:
11. Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with minimum 3yrs PQE.
12. Background in energy, infrastructure, asset management or a related sector.
13. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and practical experience in reporting.
14. Commercially minded, inquisitive and proactive, with the confidence to take ownership in a fast-paced environment.
15. A genuine self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
