We’re partnering with a well-established, fast-moving organisation to find a proactive and detail-driven HR Assistant to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their HR journey who wants hands-on experience, exposure to advisory work, and the chance to develop within a supportive and structured environment.
What you’ll be doing
This is a varied and busy role where no two days are the same. You’ll play a key part in keeping the HR function running smoothly while gaining exposure across the full employee lifecycle:
* Managing HR records, trackers, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
* Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, from contracts to exit admin
* Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries via phone and email
* Assisting with right-to-work checks and audit processes
* Preparing letters, documentation, and supporting employee relations casework
* Liaising with payroll on key employee data and updates
* Supporting HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
You’ll work closely with experienced HR professionals, giving you real insight into advisory-level work and a clear pathway for progression.
What we’re looking for
* Previous experience in an HR or administrative role
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Confident communication skills and a professional approach
* High level of discretion with confidential information
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel & Word)
Bonus points for:
* CIPD Level 3 (or working towards it)
* Experience in a fast-paced or multi-site business
* Basic understanding of UK employment law
