Performance, Compliance and Social Values Manager – Campsfield IRC

Campsfield Immigration Removal Centre is the UK's first all-electric immigration removal centre, managed on behalf of the Home Office by Mitie Care & Custody. We are seeking a proactive and experienced manager to lead on monitoring, assurance, and improvement activities, ensuring the Centre consistently delivers to the highest standards while embedding social value at the heart of our operations.
Job Overview
As the Performance, Compliance and Social Values Manager, you will be responsible for driving the Centre's compliance and performance agenda, ensuring that contractual, legislative, and company requirements are met or exceeded. You will provide assurance to senior management and external stakeholders, lead audits and investigations, and oversee reporting processes.
You will also play a key role in designing, delivering, and promoting social value initiatives, ensuring the Centre contributes positively to the community and supports the organisation's social value framework.
Main Duties
* Lead and oversee compliance with contractual, legislative, and organisational standards, ensuring all obligations are met.
* Manage and co-ordinate assurance programmes, including audits, inspections, and performance reviews.
* Analyse and interpret performance data, producing high-quality reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
* Identify and address compliance or performance issues, driving root cause analysis and leading corrective action plans.
* Provide expert advice, guidance, and training to managers and staff on compliance, quality assurance, and best practice.
* Develop and embed a culture of continuous improvement across all areas of operations.
* Lead the Centre's social value agenda, ensuring initiatives are meaningful, measurable, and aligned with organisational objectives.
* Act as the main point of contact for compliance and performance matters with the Home Office and other external stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate and transparent records to demonstrate compliance and evidence outcomes.
* Promote a culture of safety, dignity, respect, and accountability across the Centre.
We are looking for someone with strong analytical and communication skills, able to balance attention to detail with an understanding of the bigger picture. You should have experience in audit, performance, compliance or a related field, along with confidence using Microsoft Excel and solid general IT skills. The ability to interpret contracts, policies and regulations, combined with a proactive, professional and problem-solving approach, is essential.
It would be an advantage, though not essential, if you have experience with Power BI, working in a regulated or custodial environment, or previous exposure to line management. As this role is based within a secure setting, you must also be eligible for CTC security clearance and meet the relevant residency and right-to-work requirements.

* You must be a British Citizen, EU citizen with settled status, or have an ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) from a Commonwealth country.
* Bankruptcy history, CCJs, social media activity and criminal convictions will be closely scrutinized.
* You must have lived in the UK for the past three years with no significant footprint outside of the UK other than for normal holidays.
* You will also be required to pass a basic Maths and English test, and a mobility or fitness test.
