Join a Growing SME Housebuilder as a Technical Coordinator
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to become a key part of a growing SME housebuilding team in the South West. Reporting directly to the Technical Director, the Technical Coordinator will be responsible for managing the technical delivery across various projects from planning through to construction and sales.
On offer is a basic salary of up to £55,000 plus bonus and car allowance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead technical coordination across multiple projects.
* Manage processes from obtaining planning permissions through design, procurement, construction, and final sales stages.
* Oversee selection and appointment of design consultants through competitive tendering.
* Ensure design deliverables are accurate, complete, and meet project requirements.
* Handle procurement of utilities, scheduling, budget oversight, and the discharge of planning and regulatory conditions.
* Coordinate with warranty providers, review conveyance plans, and address legal easements.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies such as Planning Authorities, Building Control, and Fire Services to ensure compliance.
* Support commercial teams post-information release, helping secure necessary orders and assisting construction and sales teams during project delivery.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
* Strong engineering background with solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
* Proven experience managing complex, medium-rise developments and greenfield housing schemes.
* Up-to-date knowledge of CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
