Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker
Location; Kings Lynn, Norfolk
Salary: £31,279 to £33,705 (sleep allowance included)

Job Description:
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people? A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Children's Residential Support Worker to join a friendly residential service in Kings Lynn

This is an exciting opportunity to support young people aged 10-18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) in a nurturing and safe environment. If you enjoy engaging in activities like sports, arts and crafts, and outings to theme parks, this role offers a rewarding career where you can truly make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support young people in a fast-paced environment, encouraging their social, emotional, and behavioural development.

* Promote independence and well-being through therapeutic care and activity participation.

* Ensure the safety and welfare of young people by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of individual care plans and guidelines.

* Manage challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically, creating a secure environment.

* Develop positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

* Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.

* Maintain a homely, friendly atmosphere within the residential setting.

Requirements:

* Experience working with children and young people, or in social care, is desirable.

* Must hold a valid driver’s licence, as transportation of young people may be required.

* Over the age of 21.

* NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People (desirable).

* Knowledge of mental health support work or related social care experience (desirable).
