Electrical CAD Technician

An established engineering business within the rail sector is seeking a CAD Technician to support the delivery of rail projects across its Rail Systems team.
The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will produce and maintain CAD drawings for rail projects, supporting engineering and project teams to ensure work is delivered safely, accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce CAD drawings for rail projects
* Maintain the central CAD drawing repository
* Work closely with engineers and designers to support project delivery
* Issue drawings to clients, contractors and suppliers
* Support engineering and project teams with design and installation activities
* Assist with panel layout design, power distribution and schematic drawings
* Ensure compliance with QHSE procedures and rail industry standards
Skills & Experience
* Experience using AutoCAD (or similar) in a rail or regulated environment
* Knowledge of schematic diagrams and quality procedures
* Experience with Electrical Design

Hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Core hours: Mon–Thurs 09:00–16:00 | Fri 09:00–12:00
