Now, as we enter our next phase of growth, we're looking for an exceptional General Manager / Director to take the reins of our day-to-day operations and help shape the future of the organisation.
The Role
This is a rare opportunity to take a senior leadership position at the heart of a thriving SME. You'll have full P&L responsibility and real influence over the strategic direction of the business. You'll lead a talented team spanning sales, manufacturing, installation, and customer service — with the support and trust of the business owner behind you.
Day-to-day, you'll be driving operational efficiency, developing the team, growing revenue, and making sure every customer has the exceptional experience the organisation is known for. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves leading from the front.
What You'll Be Doing
• Leading and inspiring a cross-functional team across all departments
• Taking full ownership of business performance, P&L, and growth strategy
• Overseeing the end-to-end production and installation pipeline
• Driving sales growth and customer satisfaction from first enquiry to final installation
• Identifying new opportunities to grow the business and expand the product range
• Managing budgets, forecasting, and reporting to the board
• Championing the brand and upholding our 5-star reputation
About You
We're looking for a proven leader with the drive, experience, and commercial instinct to take this business forward. You'll ideally bring:
• A strong track record as a GM, Operations Director, or MD in manufacturing, construction, or home improvement
• Demonstrable experience growing revenue and managing P&L in an SME environment
• Excellent people management skills and the ability to lead a diverse team
• A hands-on, can-do attitude — you're not afraid to get involved at every level
• Sharp commercial awareness and a data-driven approach to decision-making
• Outstanding communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships
Experience in the garden building, outdoor structures, or timber construction sector would be a bonus — but it's your leadership and commercial ability that matter most to us.
