Senior Associate – Real Estate

An established and highly regarded national law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its Real Estate team in Liverpool or Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented commercial property solicitor to join a thriving practice and play a key role in advising a diverse client base while developing their own profile and practice.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will join a well‑resourced and collaborative Real Estate team that forms part of a wider national property practice. The team advises a broad range of clients including investors, developers, occupiers, lenders and corporate organisations on a variety of commercial property matters.

Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on acquisitions and disposals of investment property, including sale and leaseback transactions.
- Negotiating leases and associated landlord and tenant documentation on behalf of both landlords and tenants.
- Acting on the acquisition of development and investment sites.
- Negotiating development agreements and disposals of development sites to investors.
- Supervising junior team members on portfolio management matters, including licences, consents and lease transactions.
- Reviewing and reporting on title matters.
- Advising on heads of terms.
- Working closely with colleagues across corporate, banking, construction, restructuring and other specialist practice areas to deliver seamless client service.
- Participating in business development, networking and profile‑raising activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with significant experience in Commercial Property.
- Strong background in Landlord and Tenant matters.
- Experience across a range of commercial real estate transactions.
- Ability to manage matters independently while working effectively as part of a wider team.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
- Commercial awareness and financial understanding.
- Proactive and collaborative approach to work.
- Interest in business development and networking activities.
- Willingness to work closely with colleagues across multiple office locations and contribute to a national practice.
