Astrea Academy Netherwood is an 11–16 academy opened in September 2012, set in a £35 million campus. It is part of Astrea Academy Trust and is in an exciting period of development.
As Vice Principal, you will inspire others to excel with a strong work ethic, high-level communication, a fearless approach, and a "No Excuses" disposition. You will be highly analytical, forensic in evaluating data, creative in solving problems, and believe that all scholars are entitled to thrive regardless of background.
You will be an experienced and outstanding classroom practitioner with a track record of strong outcomes and experience in developing other colleagues. You will lead by example in both classroom practice and leadership to raise standards across the academy.
We are committed to a knowledge-rich curriculum and a traditional approach to teaching, behaviour and culture, emphasising explicit instruction and high expectations for every child.
