As Bid Manager you will oversee a team of work winning specialists, playing a critical role in managing the end-to-end bid process. You will have strong project management and communication skills, with an attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with various client and internal teams to successfully deliver bids on time, within budget and to the highest quality. You will be comfortable developing and leading workshops (both in person and virtually), and must have experience of managing large, complex bids (preferably within the built environment).
This role will be hybrid working with the requirement to be based in either our Manchester or Birmingham (based on your location) office a minimum of 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Bid management: lead the end-to-end bid lifecycle, including gathering requirements, preparing documentation (including the bid programme, resource planner, deliverables tracker and due diligence log) and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Work with workstream leads and subject matter experts to develop solutions and refine the overall approach/strategy/responses to maximise scoring. This will include identifying and proposing value-added solutions that enhance a bid’s compet
* coordination: collaborate with project teams, using virtual leaderboards to assign tasks, track progress, produce reports and ensure bid deadlines are met. Give support and guidance to other team members as required, with hands on participation where necessary to ensure a best- for-bid approachBid w
* riting: prepare and write compelling and competitive bid responses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client requirementsCaptu
* re planning: devise a win strategy by researching and analysing market trends and competitors and work with client teams to articulate a value proposition and relevant win themes. Experience and Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree (or equivalent work based training) in Business, Project Management or a related field
* Proven experience in bid and project management roles (preferably in public procurement and the built environment) across a range of projects, including large scale schemes
* Strong project management skills, including the use of project management software (MS Teams, Word, Excel and Monday.com)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Analytical and problem solving abilities
* Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure (going the extra mile when needed)
* Client focused with strong inter-personal skills
