Experience & Qualifications
* Within the last 5 years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children
* Worked for at least 1 year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff, working in a care role
* Experience of managing or assisting an Ofsted inspection
* In depth knowledge of Quality Standards and Children's homes regulations
* Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young people) essential
* Must be willing to work towards Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children's and Young People's Service or equivalent if not already acquired
As a Registered Manager you will be required to:
* Manage the residential home, through strong leadership and direction
* Oversee the daily operations of the children's home, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children in our care.
* Ensure the highest quality of care is provided
* Show unconditional positive regard for the young people in the home whilst setting clear boundaries and expectations, committing to the principle of 'high warmth/ high control' and sticking with difficult placements
* Manage budgets
* Develop and sustaining effective relationships with external agencies, professional bodies, and stakeholders
