As a Baggage Hall Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the baggage handling area, ensuring efficient and timely processing of luggage while maintaining safety and service quality standards. You will lead a team of baggage handlers, coordinate with other airport departments, and manage operational challenges to deliver exceptional service to our airline partners and passengers.
Role Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
* Supervise, train, and motivate a team of baggage handlers.
* Schedule shifts and manage attendance to ensure adequate staffing.
* Conduct regular team briefings and performance reviews.
Operational Management:
* Oversee the loading, unloading, sorting, and transportation of baggage.
* Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
* Monitor equipment and report any maintenance needs or malfunctions.
Coordination and Communication:
* Liaise with airline representatives, ground handling teams, and other airport departments to ensure smooth operations.
* Address and resolve operational issues promptly.
* Maintain clear and effective communication channels within the team and with external partners.
Compliance and Reporting:
* Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
* Prepare and submit operational reports, incident logs, and performance metrics.
* Implement corrective actions as necessary to improve service delivery.

* Proven experience in airport operations, particularly in baggage handling or a similar environment.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of aviation safety regulations and standards.
* Proficiency in using relevant IT systems and software.
* Flexibility to work shifts.
* Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
* Certification in aviation safety or related field.
* First aid and emergency response training.
* Ability to lift and carry heavy baggage items.
* Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
* Comfortable working in various weather conditions
