Warburtons is seeking a highly organised and proactive Technical Coordinator to join our team and ensure the smooth, efficient production of our quality baked products. As our Technical Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving quality standards, enhancing production processes, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, and optimising efficiency. You will be the go-to person for technical troubleshooting and will work closely with our production and engineering teams.
* Quality Control: Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures, ensuring consistent product quality and adherence to specifications.
* Food Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP), maintaining accurate records and conducting regular audits.
* Production Efficiency: Analyse production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimise efficiency and reduce waste.
* Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of bakery equipment, working with internal and external engineers as required.
* Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production processes, specifications, and quality control checks.
* Ingredient Management: Monitor and manage ingredient traceability and ingredient trials.
* Training & Support: Provide technical support and training to bakery staff on production processes and quality.
* Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve technical issues that arise during production, ensuring minimal disruption.
* Reporting: Generate regular reports on quality performance, customer complaints, and food safety.
Requirements include experience working in a fast-paced environment as an administrator or coordinator, excellent IT skills (including Excel and spreadsheets), strong team ethic, self-motivation, good relationship-building skills, effective communication, pragmatic judgment, attention to detail, and relevant qualifications in food science, engineering, or related fields. Experience with bakery equipment, lean manufacturing principles, and proven experience in a technical coordination or quality control role within a food production environment (preferably bakery) are also essential.
