Job Summary
The Traffic Marshall plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians within designated areas. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage traffic flow effectively, while also performing maintenance tasks as needed. The Traffic Marshall will be responsible for directing traffic, maintaining safety protocols, and providing assistance to drivers and pedestrians.
Duties
* Direct vehicles and pedestrians safely through designated areas to prevent accidents and ensure smooth traffic flow.
* Communicate clearly with drivers, pedestrians, and other personnel to provide instructions and information regarding traffic regulations.
* Monitor traffic patterns and adjust direction as necessary to maintain safety and efficiency.
* Perform routine maintenance checks on traffic control equipment and report any issues that require attention.
* Assist in the setup and removal of traffic control signage and barriers as required.
* Collaborate with management to implement safety procedures and improve traffic management strategies.
* Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while on duty.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a management or supervisory role is preferred.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with the public and team members.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour
