The Role

Typical Day in the Life of a SAFE Worker
* Be part of a multi-disciplinary team responding to safeguarding concerns involving children and young people at risk of exploitation.
* Undertake Return Home Interviews for missing children as part of a rolling duty rota.
* Work with complex adolescents, delivering educative and preventative interventions.
* Deliver training and awareness sessions to parents/carers and staff.
* Represent the SAFE team in statutory meetings concerning children and young people.
What Are We Looking For?
* An organized, diligent, and adaptable individual with a passion for children, families, and communities.
* Knowledge of and desire to support those affected by child exploitation and missing persons, with an understanding of how children are targeted, groomed, and exploited.
* Experience engaging with challenging children and individuals with complex needs.
* A good understanding of Child and Adolescent development, with desirable knowledge of Contextual Safeguarding and Exploitation.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers.
