Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Summary: This position is responsible for reviewing existing manufacturing processes and developing new processes to support our production lines, ensuring we meet current schedules and future growth targets.
Essential Functions of the Job: The essential functions require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:
1. Develop and improve production processes to increase output, efficiency, reduce costs, and prevent defects, while increasing process stability to meet customer demand with minimal resources.
2. Provide technical expertise to the Sourcing Group for reviewing and selecting new suppliers for localized production of components when transferring production lines, including:
o Identifying potential suppliers
o Reviewing supplier capabilities
o Assessing part requirements like tolerances and quality standards
o Conducting technical reviews of initial offers, mainly tooling concepts and designs
3. Develop process time standards, process flow, and layout for new or transferred production lines.
4. Assist Production Supervisors in resolving technical, tooling, quality, process, and maintenance issues affecting daily manufacturing operations.
5. Participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) and LEAN events relevant to their expertise.
6. Assist the localization team with capital tooling and equipment, including externally purchased, internally produced, and inter-plant transfers.
7. Coordinate updates to all production process documentation to reflect current methods and requirements.
8. Utilize software such as MRPII (MAC-PAC), CAD (SolidWorks, Pro Engineer, AutoCAD), MS Office Suite, and CAM packages in duties.
9. Monitor and control MRPII activities including process routing, capacity planning, and annual work center overhead cost review.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Recommended Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a minimum of five years related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
* Knowledge of LEAN principles.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
