Security Officer Job Description
Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carry out regular site patrols, and record these as per Corps and Customer requirements.
Ensure all visitors and contractors are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
Record the entry and exit of deliveries, including processing paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
Ensure patrols are carried out to the correct standards.
Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out-of-hours security provision, if applicable.
Comply with site waste management procedures.
Complete required documents such as daily occurrence logs, shift handovers, incident/accident records, and site-specific reports.
Familiarize yourself with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other safety documents; advise the Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on any changes or recommendations to improve.
Maintain your training records via the Corps Colleague Portal to ensure your skills remain up to date, especially your first aid and fire marshal training in accordance with legislative guidelines.
Apply your SIA skills diligently, maintaining professionalism. Your SIA licence must always be displayed.
Perform ad hoc duties as directed.

Candidate Requirements
* Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
* A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential.
* A valid SIA CCTV License - desirable.
* Confidence and ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels.
* Ability to work to deadlines, multitask, and work under pressure.
* Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel).
* Full UK Driving License and own vehicle or reliable transport.
* Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards.
