We have partnered with a national UK housebuilder who is looking to strengthen their team with a Senior Development Manager, who will be responsible for overseeing residential developments through the planning, design, and early delivery stages. Providing a clear direction across project teams, this role involves managing consultant teams, coordinating planning submissions, and ensuring all development activity aligns with the company’s programme, quality, and commercial targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Acted as the primary point of contact for residential development projects throughout early-stage delivery.
* Established and managed detailed development programmes, driving progress across planning and design phases.
* Prepared internal reports, risk registers, and documentation to support approvals and maintain audit compliance.
* Managed the disposal process for affordable housing units, including coordination with legal advisors and housing associations.
* Led the negotiation and resolution of development-related legal matters within land and build contracts
* Coordinate technical due diligence including surveys, assessments, and supporting reports.
* Maintain effective communication with internal departments and external stakeholders.
* Represent the business professionally in meetings with clients, partners, and authorities.
* Monitor development budgets and report on performance and variances.
