Come and join us as a Driver and Warehouse Assistant on a flexible hours basis to help us grow, deliver sales, and exceed customer expectations.
The role:
As a Driver and Warehouse Assistant, you’ll be committed to delivering an outstanding level of service. You’ll be professional, driven, and enthusiastic. The role reports into the branch management team and involves providing the highest level of service to internal and external customers, delivering products to meet tight deadlines. You will also assist in the warehouse and may be customer facing, serving on the trade counter and dealing with customers over the telephone to maximize sales and service quality.
You will be contracted to a set minimum number of hours per week and should be flexible to work additional hours, especially during peak winter heating seasons. Hours and shifts will be scheduled with notice, and we promote an inclusive team environment. We hope you’ll enjoy working with us!
Please note, this role requires a valid driving license and previous driving experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Health and safety of yourself and your vehicle
* Vehicle maintenance and condition
* Reporting issues or incidents to your line manager
* Compliance with transport laws and regulations
* Handling stock and deliveries
* Supporting sales targets with the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager
* Maintaining high standards and providing excellent customer service
* Supporting branch duties such as serving on the trade counter and telesales
* Maintaining housekeeping standards in the trade and warehouse areas
You:
Along with a clean driving license, previous warehouse and driving experience is preferred. Knowledge of our industry’s products is advantageous. You should be flexible, customer-focused, and committed to supporting your team and delivering excellent service.
