A high‑achieving, well‑organised secondary school in Acton is seeking experienced Exam Invigilators to join their exam team for the busy May–July period. The school is known for its excellent behaviour, strong routines and supportive staff culture, creating a smooth and professional exam environment.
We strongly encourage early applications, as training and onboarding will take place ahead of the main exam window.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Preparing exam rooms, ensuring correct materials, seating plans and signage are in place
* Supervising students during examinations and maintaining a calm, controlled atmosphere
* Distributing and collecting exam papers securely and accurately
* Providing scribing support for students with access arrangements
* Ensuring all JCQ and school exam regulations are followed
* Monitoring timing, managing queries and reporting any irregularities
* Supporting the Exams Officer and wider invigilation team throughout the session
What We’re Looking For
* Previous exam invigilation experience (essential)
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Professionalism, reliability and excellent attention to detail
* Ability to follow strict procedures and maintain confidentiality
* Flexibility to work across various exam sessions between May and July
