Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Carbon60 is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with electrical bias to join their defence client’s existing Calibration and Maintenance team based in Stevenage. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations team's activities and conducting repairs on a variety of process and monitoring equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Utilise technical manuals, drawings, circuit diagrams, and schematics to provide technical advice and guidance.
* Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on manufacturing process equipment.
* Conduct fault-finding and repairs down to the component level on a diverse range of equipment.
* Mentor and support more junior members of the Maintenance team when required.
* No day is the same and the work is extremely varied, interesting and challenging.
Qualifications and Experience:
* HNC in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Proven experience in fault-finding and component-level repairs on manufacturing process equipment.
* Familiarity with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) procedures and techniques.
* Ability to interpret technical instructions, handbooks, drawings, and specifications to provide technical guidance.
* Experience working in a CCA (Controlled Conformal Atmosphere) manufacturing environment is desirable.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
* Experience with vibration shakers and environmental chambers .
* BS 7671 18th Edition
* A good understanding of SAP would be an advantage.
About the role:
* 12-month contract (potential for extension)
* Up to £36ph (through Umbrella company)
* Full time onsite at the Stevenage site
