Financial Reporting Accountant – Solvency II (Insurance Accountant)

What You'll Be Doing
* Lead the production and review of financial accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
* Own the month-end close process and maintain the trial balance
* Contribute to Solvency II balance sheets and SCR calculations across multiple legal entities
* Complete Solvency II quarterly and annual returns
* Prepare monthly management information and support CFO reporting
* Liaise across departments to streamline technical data, statutory accounts, and regulatory submissions
* Play a key role in the audit process, including managing audit requests and responses
* Maintain and improve internal systems, spreadsheets, and process documentation
* Manage a small team to achieve deliverables, with room to grow
Who We're Looking For
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
* Experience with Solvency II, statutory reporting, and financial controls
* Advanced Excel user and familiar with systems such as Sage
* Strong communicator with a proactive and adaptable mindset
* Insurance or Financial services industry experience is highly desirable
